We haven't begun testing with players yet, for those who are concerned about PvP mechanics. We are just going to basically the 2.0 publish PvP(which the vast majority enjoyed before PvP changes were made for the 800th time). We will be fine tuning it with the PvPers at a later date to make sure it's what everyone enjoys.

There has been no annoucement of a wipe of any sort and we won't know if there will be one at all.

Some random "small changes" that people have requested over the time that will be in.
  • Tamed animals and monsters will move much quicker then they do now
  • SOS/Tmap overhaul to make sure it's balanced(currently try to tie in some rare item reward to them)
  • Animal lore will display monster and animal stats at the applicable level
  • Barding changes that reflect more of UOR+ era. Music/Provoke/Peace etc will affect the % of success based on monster difficulty(this is a really bad explaination of this).
  • Rebalance magic weapon drops(duh)
  • Balancing of how much gold shopkeepers can hold and resell value of magic items
This is obviously a very small sample of changes that players requested that will be in(aside from maybe the barding changes... )

I will add more later

My bet is there won't be a wipe. If they had it in mind, they would tell us ahead of time so we didn't lose it all for nothing. I'd just go farm a lot and start saving money and resources now that it's risk free.

this update tells a lot, but it still isn't going to help the population as of right now.

i guess we'll have to wait until patch day to see if all of our stuff is wiped.

from what i understand, this type of newby feeling and general uo high can only be experienced from starting from the ground up.

that's my interpretation but i hope there isn't a wipe. i will continue to refresh my houses once a week and maybe log in and duel on the only shard that has no spell delay.

that's about it.............

One thing that is seeming more likely to me is Ryan actually not wanting to wipe Divinity. I and probably others always considered it a possibility that Ryan just wasn't telling us there was going to be a wipe so people would continue to play Divinity in the meantime. Now that the server is reaching lows of 10 or less it's hard to imagine that he would bother keeping a wipe a secret in order to maintain the existing playerbase. So while their reasons for the possibility of a wipe haven't changed, I thought it might ease your mind at least a little bit to think that maybe they actually are trying to avoid it.

Nonsense. How do a handfull of players that actually played this server in the last year AND managed to not let their housing fall/characters get deleted negatively affect the new players that could potentially come?

With your logic "there's no way we can get high on divinity if we have it all" then we should do a wipe every 6 months or so to make sure you're having fun, since you once again "have it all"?

If this was REALLY your goal then you could easily delete all of your characters and items and start over. Trust me you'll have PLENTY of new players to work your skills with after the patch goes in. There's no need to delete the items/characters of the few players that still have items and characters here just so you can build your own characters and empire once again.
